NJ NAACP News 03-01-2010 - NAACP Alert: A New Jersey appellate court has ruled that motorists who hang ornaments like baby shoes from their rearview mirror may be stopped by police if authorities believe the object is obstructing a driver's view. In reality, this gives police a bogus 'reason' to stop motoriests, some more than others. Thus, all of us should remove all ornaments from our rearview mirror to eliminate this "reason/excuse" for police to racial profile.
